atterns that were both effective and minimalist in appearance. Commonly known as spiders, or soft hackles flies, today they are as deadly as they were when they were originated by the likes of Swarbrick, Stewart, Pritt, Walbran, and other astute and canny bordermen.

We offer the opportunity to ‘walk in the shoes’ of those masters using traditional hackled flies on the rivers where they originated.
